And we have crawling!

Monday April 23rd, 2012 Susie is now a crawler... well sorta! She takes one "step". Then she cant figure out how the other leg plays in. But she does that first one, and sometimes (mostly by accident) will get the other leg to move as it should. It will be no time at all before she is moving all over the place. It is so cute to watch her get up on all fours and rock.

Elivs Shake

Sunday April 22nd, 2012 Susie stood unassisted for the first time! She had that Elvis shake in her legs. They were widely spread apart but she stood for like 1-2 seconds. She then grabbed on to me. But its a huge thing for her!

Apr 7th - Clapping

April 7th, 2012

Susie is so dang cute! We went in the morning to a jewelry party that was fundraising for NOCC. Susie wanted to eat my catalogue. My friends nieces were at the party also. They were 17 months and 3.5 years old. Susie made note of them but was more interested in making sure mommy gave her full attention.

After that, we headed out to Vienna to have lunch with Holly and Mark. It was a nice lunch. We had Mexican food! Susie was not a fan of the guacamole (I think it was the seasoning). She thought the refried beans were ok and ate the tortilla. She followed the up with a jar of carrots. She was quite the happy camper. Holly has this cute picture of Mark playing with Susie. Once I get that, I will add it to the blog.

After lunch, we went home and hung out. I made some baby food and did the dishes. Susie sat in her jumper and bounced away. When Eric got home from work, she was in a great mood. So he sat on the floor and played with her. He was clapping at her, and she started clapping back. It was so cute! He would even count out how many claps and she would clap the same number of times back. When he called me in to see it, she of course stopped. She just had this huge grin on her face. I stepped out to get the video camera. I got back in and and sat out of view of her. I thought I hit play but all I hit was the still shot mode. Oh well. We will try to get some video of her clapping as soon as we can.

Give away

I have never done this with my blog, but I just have to try and win this for Susie! Thrifty Nifty Mommy (http://www.thriftyniftymommy.com/2012/04/little-tikes-pillow-racer-review-and.html) is giving away a pillow racer. I have seen these in the stores and online. I just know Susie would love one! They look so cute. So go check out her blog (she posts a lot of reviews on things).

April 3 - Standing

April 3rd, 2012

So we were sitting in the tv room (just me and Susie, daddy had to work - stupid election coverage). Susie was sitting on the floor surrounded by all her toys. She was getting fussy. I was sitting on the couch next to her, talking to her and watching some show. She flops over to her belly and gets up on her hands. I was so sure she was going to crawl. So I sat up, stretched my arms out, and beckoned her to come to me. She looked like she was going to, but flopped over instead. Well, I still had my arms out, so she flopped over a little and got to where she could reach my arms. She put her left hand on my right arm, and right hand on my left arm. She then proceeded to pull herself up into a standing position (complete with adjusting her feet). I was so shocked! I looked down and her with the biggest smile I have ever had. "You did it Boo-Boo, you did it! I am so proud of you. My big girl!" She got this HUGE grin on her face. You could tell she was so happy because I was happy. She then did it a few minutes later for a second time.

Susie first little league game

Saturday March 31st!
This past weekend was opening weekend for the Bennets Creek baseball league. Both Sean and Seth are on the same team and had their first game. Susie was a good little spectator. She did not wear their team logo as a shirt or hat though (who can honestly cheer for the yankees). She sat on the side of the field, under Aunt Sarah's umbrella. She sat on her little blanket and pulled the grass out. She was quite pleased when she figured out how to pull out grass. Thankfully she didnt try to eat any grass! Sadly the boys didnt win but she didnt care. She cheered her hardest for them!
